    Solution

    Ratio of efficiencyof A and B = 3: 1
    A will take 1/3 of time as compared to B.
    Say, B takes 3x days and A takes x days.
    ∴ 3x – x = 28 ⇒ x = 14
    ∴ B takes 14 × 3 = 42 days to do the work.
