ATQ, Distance between the two stations = 480 km. The first train covers 480 km in 4 hours. Speed of the first train = 480/4 = 120 km/hr. The second train covers 480 km in 12 hours. Speed of the second train = 480/12 = 40 km/hr. Both trains are moving towards each other. So, relative speed = 120 + 40 = 160 km/hr. Time taken to meet = Distance/Relative speed. Time taken = 480/160 = 3 hours.
