I. x2- x - 56 = 0 => x2+ 8x - 7x - 56 = 0 => x(x + 8) - 7(x + 8) = 0 => (x + 8) (x - 7) = 0 => x = -8, 7 II. y2- 20y + 91 = 0 => y2- 13y - 7y + 91 = 0 => y(y - 13) - 7(y - 13) = 0 => (y - 13) (y - 7) = 0 => y = 13, 7 Hence, x ≤ y.
