Question

In the question below there are three statements followed

by two conclusions I and II. You have to take the three given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts and then decide which of the given conclusions logically follows from the three statements disregarding commonly known facts . Statements: Some Wf is KL Only a few Xz is KL All Xz is MN Conclusions: I. All KL being Xz is a possibility II. Some MN is Wf
A Only conclusion I follows Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B Both the conclusions I and II follow Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C Neither conclusion I nor II follow Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D Only conclusion II follows Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
E Either conclusion I or II follows Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

Only a few Xz is KL → All KL may be Xz (A). Hence conclusion I follows.

Some Wf is KL (I) → Conversion → Some KL is Wf (I).

Only a few Xz is KL (I) + Some KL is Wf (I) → No conclusion. Hence conclusion II does not follow.
