From statement I and statement II alone, we cannot answer the question. On combining both statement we get, Three persons live between R and X, who lives second to the below of S. V lives above S. One person lives between V and W. U lives immediately above X, who lives above T. The final arrangement is as follows:
Either V or W lives on the topmost floor. Therefore, both statements I and II together are not sufficient to answer the question.
