Let efficiency of each technician = 'e' units/day
Total work = 10 × 30 × e = 300e units
Work done in 12 days = 10 × 12 × e = 120e units
Remaining work = 300e - 120e = 180e units
Remaining technicians = 10 - 4 = 6
Time needed = 180e ÷ (6 × e) = 30 days
Extra days = 30 - 18 = 12 days
