    According to the question, Efficiency of Men, Women and Children = 6 : 5 : 4 units/day One day work of 4 Men = 4 × 6 = 24 units One day work of 6 Women = 6 × 5 = 30 units One day work of 8 Children = 8 × 4 = 32 units Let time taken by 12 Men, 8 Women and 15 Children be ‘D’ days By applying formula, ((24+30+32)×10)/40 = [(((12×6)+ (8×5)+(15×4))×D)/60] 860/40 = ((72+40+60)×D)/60 860/2 = (172×D)/3 D = (860×3)/(2×172) = 7^1/2 days
