X’s five day work = 5/25 = 1/5.
Remaining work = 1 – 1/5 = 4/5
This work was done by Y in 24 days.
Y does 4/5th of the work in 24 days, he will finish the work in 24 × 5/4 = 30 days.
X & Y together would take 1/25 + 1/30 = 11/150 = 150/11 i.e. 150/11 days to complete the work.
