Question
A person reaches his destination 36 minutes late because he walked at (4/5) of his usual speed. How much time does he normally take to reach his destination?
Solution
ATQ,
When distance is constant,
Time ∝ (1/Speed)
So, ratio of time = 4:5
Let usual time = 4t and slower time = 5t
5t – 4t = 36
t = 36
Usual time = 4t = 4 × 36 = 144 minutes
