Let quantity of water in mixture 'B' be '5x' litres Quantity of milk in mixture 'A' = 0.6 Γ 5x = '3x' litres Total quantity of mixture 'A' = (3x/0.8) = 3.75x litres Quantity of water in mixture 'A' = (3.75x β 3x) = 0.75x litres Quantity of milk in mixture 'B' = (3x Γ 3/2) = 4.5x litres Total quantity of mixture 'B' = (5x + 4.5x) = 9.5x According to the question, (9.5x β 3.75x = 184) Or, (5.75x = 184) Or, x = 32 Required difference = 5x β 0.75x = 4.25x = 4.25 Γ 32 = 136 litres
