B 165 litres Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C 187 litres Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

E None of these Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

Let the quantity of oil and kerosene in the initial mixture be тАШ6xтАЩ litres and тАШ5xтАЩ litres, respectively Quantity of oil in 55 litres of the mixture
    = 55 ├Ч (6/11) = 30 litres Quantity of kerosene in 55 litres of the mixture
    = 55 тИТ 30 = 25 litres According to the question, (6x тИТ 30) = (5x тИТ 25 + 25) + 20 Or, 6x тИТ 5x = 30 + 20 Or, x = 50 Initial quantity of the mixture
    = 11x = 11 ├Ч 50 = 550 litres
