C 265000 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D 290000 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
E 328000 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

    Let the total sales be x 1st Condition Salesman gets = x Γ— 8% 2nd Condition Salesman gets = 10000 + (x - 30000) Γ— 6% The difference of 2nd and 1st condition is 2400 Therefore, 10000 + (x - 30000) Γ— 6/100 – x Γ— 8/100 = 2400 10000 + 6x/100 – 1800 - 8x/100 = 2400 10000 – 1800 – 2400 = 8x/100 - 6x/100 5800 = 2x/100 x = 290000
