⇒ (w + x + y)/3 = 25.5 ⇒ w + x + y = 76.5 ---- (1) Also, ⇒ (x + y + z)/3 = 29.5 ⇒ x + y + z = 88.5 ---- (2) Subtracting equation (1) from (2), we get, ⇒ z – w = 88.5 – 76.5 = 12 ∴ The range of the data is 12.
