Let 'Y' = 5x, and 'Z' = 3x
'X' = 'Y' – 8 = 5x – 8
Also, 'X' = 2('Z') – 13 = 2(3x) – 13 = 6x – 13
Hence, 5x – 8 = 6x – 13

'X' = 5(5) – 8 = 25 – 8 = 17
