    ATQ, Let present age of Q = ‘5x’ years So, present age of P = 1.40 × 5x = ‘7x’ years ATQ, {(7x + 7)/(5x + 7)} = (14/11) Or, 77x + 77 = 70x + 98 Or, 7x = 21 So, x = 3 So, present age of P = 7x = 7 × 3 = 21 years Therefore, age of P, 3 years ago from now = (21 – 3) = 18 years
