Let the present ages of Arjun and Bhavesh be β5xβ years and β7xβ years respectively.
Age of Bhavesh six years ago = (7x β 6) years
Present age of Chandan = 1.25 Γ (7x β 6) = (8.75x β 7.5) years
Present age of Deepak = (11/9) Γ (8.75x β 7.5) years
According to the question,
5x + 7x + 8.75x β 7.5 + (11/9) Γ (8.75x β 7.5) = 4 Γ (7x + 1)
45x + 63x + 78.75x β 67.5 + 96.25x β 82.5 = (28x + 4) Γ 9
283x β 150 = 252x + 36
31x = 186
x = 6
So, the present age of Chandan = 8.75 Γ 6 β 7.5 = 52.5 β 7.5 = 45 years
