      Solution

      Let the present age of A and his son be 5x and x respectively. => (5x – 6) – (x – 6) = 24 => x = 6 then the fathers age will be = (5x  + 11 = (5 × 6) + 11) = 41 yrs then the Son age will be = (x  + 11) = 6  + 11 = 17 yrs Required sum = 41 + 17 = 58 yrs
