Question
The combined present ages of Aman
and Chinu are twice Bhanu's current age. Chinu's current age is 5/6th of Bhanu's present age, and Aman’s age 4 years ago was equal to Bhanu's current age. Calculate the total of Aman's age 4 years later and Bhanu's age 6 years later.Solution
ATQ, Let present age of Bhanu = 'b' Age of Aman + Chinu = 2b Age of Chinu = (5/6) × b Age of Chinu = 5b/6 Age of Aman - 4 = b Aman's age = b + 4 b + 4 + 5b/6 = 2b (6b + 24 + 5b)/6 = 2b 11b+ 24 = 12b b = 24 So, Bhanu's Age = 24 years Aman's Age = 24 + 4 = 28 years Required sum = (28 + 4) + (24 + 6) = 32 + 30 = 62 years
