The Indian Olympics Association (IOA) accepted Meghalaya’s bid to host the National Games, overshadowing four other bidders – Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Chhattisgarh and Uttarakhand- recently. Meghalaya will be the third north-eastern state after Manipur and Assam to host the National Games. Goa will host the next National Games in Nov 2017. Â
