      Two cars ‘C’ and ‘D’ started from places ‘L’

      and ‘M’ towards each other at the same time. When they crossed after 10 hours, car ‘D’ had covered 150 km more than car ‘C’. Find the distance covered by car ‘C’ in 6 hours if the total distance between the places is 850 km.
      A 190 km Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
      B 160 km Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
      C 140 km Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
      D 120 km Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
      E None of these Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

      Solution

      ATQ,

      Let distance travelled by car ‘C’ at the time of meet = x km

      So, distance travelled by car ‘D’ at the time of meet = x + 150 km

      According to question;

      x + x + 150 = 850

      Or, 2x = 700

      Or, x = 350

      Distance travelled by car ‘C’ in 10 hours = 350 km

      Speed of car ‘C’ = 350 / 10 = 35 km/h

      Distance travelled by car ‘C’ in 6 hours = 35 × 6 = 210 km
