Let the length of the platform be ‘x’ metres
Speed of the train = 66 × (5/18) = 18.33 m/s
ATQ,
(x + 195.5) = 18.33 × 40
Or, (x + 195.5) = 733.2
Or, x = 733.2 - 195.5
Or, x = 537.7
Therefore, the length of the platform = 537.7 metres
