Speed of the train = 117 × (5/18) = 32.5 m/sec Length of the train = 32.5 × 19 = 617.5 metres Let the length of the platform be ‘x’ metres Therefore, 617.5 + x = 32.5 × 23 Or, x = 747.5 – 617.5 = 130 metres
