      Solution

      Speed of train A = 33 kmph
      Speed of train B = 22 kmph
      Time taken by train A to meet train B at 12 PM = 4 hrs
      Time taken by train B to meet train A at 12 PM = 3 hrs
      Distance travelled by train A = 4 × 33 = 132 km
      Distance travelled by train B = 3 × 22 = 66 km
      Therefore, total distance between X and Y = 132 + 66 = 198 km
