Question
50% of the work done by Meena in 2 days is equal to 25% of the work done by Lata in 5 days. If Meena can complete the job alone in 10 days, then how long will Lata take to complete the same task?
Solution
ATQ,
Let the efficiency of Meena and Lata be 'x' units/day and 'y' units/day respectively.
So, 0.5 Γ x Γ 2 = 0.25 Γ y Γ 5
So, x = (5/2) Γ y
Total work = 10 Γ x = 10x units
Time taken by Lata to complete the work:
= (10x / y) = {10 Γ (5/2) y} Γ· y = 25 days
