    Solution

    Let total work = 30 units Efficiency of Dhamu = (30/10) = 3 units/day Combined efficiency of Dhamu and Gaja = (30/6) = 5 units/day Therefore, efficiency of Gaja = 5 - 3 = 2 units/day Required number of days taken =  (0.50 x 30)/2 = 15/2 = 7(1/2) days
