Question
A bus normally covers 120 metres in 4 seconds. How much distance (in km) can the bus cover in 5 hours if it travels at 75% of its normal speed?
Solution
ATQ,
Normal speed of the bus = 120/4 = 30 m/s
75% of normal speed of the bus = 30 Γ 0.75 = 22.5 m/s = 22.5 Γ 3.6 = 81 km/h
So, distance travelled in 5 hours = 81 Γ 5 = 405 km
