Let the length of train X = 5a , time = 5b Speed = a/b Let the length of train Y = 8a , time = 2b Speed = 4a/b Ratio of the speed =   = 1 : 4 Speed of train Y = 24 × 4 = 96 km/h in m/s = 96 × 5/18 = 27 m/s ( approx )
