Question
Neha deposited Rs. 3000 at (R + 6)% per annum simple
interest and received Rs. 2160 as interest in 3 years. What would be the interest if she invested the same sum at R% for 2 years?Solution
ATQ,
3000 × (R + 6)/100 × 3 = 2160
Or, 90R + 540 = 2160
Or, 90R = 1620
Or, R = 18
Desired Interest = 3000 × 18/100 × 2 = Rs. 1080
