    Solution

    SI received from 30% of the sum = (0.3 x 500 x 5 x 6)/100 = Rs.45 SI received from 70% of the sum = (0.7 x 500 x 20 x 4)/100 = Rs.280 Therefore, total SI received = Rs.(45 + 280) = Rs.325
