According to the question, Number of graduates = 1/2x Number of post graduates = 1/5x Number of double graduates = (x - 1/2x - 1/5x) = 3/10x Number of graduates who are unemployed = (3/4) × 1/2x = 3x/8 Number of post graduates who are unemployed = (3/5) × 1/5x = 3x/25 Number of double graduates who are unemployed = 1/2 × 3/10x = 3x/20 Total number of people who are employed = x - (3x/8) - (3x/25) - (3x/20) = 71x/200 The percentage of people who are employed = (71x/200x) × 100 = 35.5%
