    Let total students in class = 100x Boys = 55x Girls = 45x passed boys = 60% of 55x = 33x passed girls = 70% of 45x = 31.5x total passed students = 33x+31.5x = 64.5x total failed students = 100x – 64.5x = 35.5x failed percentage of total students = 35.5x/100x × 100 = 35.5%
