    Let the marks obtained by B be ‘x’. So, marks obtained by A = 1.25x According to question, (1.25x – x) + 155 = 220 0.25x = 220 - 155 0.25x = 65 x = 65/0.25 x = 260 Therefore, marks obtained by A = 1.25 × 260 = 325 marks
