    Let the total sales be Rs. x Earning =    x × 16% + (x-25000) × 1/100                                    = 16x/100+  x/100- 250 = 17x/100- 250  Now, According to the question Total Sales – Earning = 66650 x- (17x/100- 250) = 66650 x-  17x/100+ 250 = 66650 83x/100 = 66400 x= 80000
