    ATQ, Let the maximum marks be 100m. Marks scored by Raj = 30% of 100m = 0.3×100m=30m. So, Passing marks = 30m+40 ------------- (I) Marks scored by Meena = 50% of 100m = 0.5×100m=50m. So, Passing marks = 50m+10 -------------- (II) Comparing equation (I) and (II): 30m+40=50m+10 50m−30m=40−10 20m=30 m=1.5 Put the value of m=1.5 in equation (I), Passing marks=(30×1.5)+40=85
