M and N started a partnership with investments of Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 8,000. After 6 months, M increased his contribution by Rs. 2,000 and O joined with Rs. 12,000. If the total profit at the end of the year was Rs. 39,600, what was M’s share?

Ratio of profit share of M, N and O:
= (10000 × 6 + 12000 × 6) : (8000 × 12) : (12000 × 6)
= 66 : 48 : 36
Therefore, profit share of M = (66 / 150) × 39600 = Rs. 17,424
