    months later, ‘B’ joined by investing Rs. ‘x’. If at the end of the year ‘B’ received Rs. 20,000 as profit out of total profit of Rs. 45,000, then find the value of ‘x’.

    Solution

    Ratio of profit share of ‘A’ and ‘B’ = (2000 × 12):(8 × x) Profit share of ‘A’ = 45000 – 20000 = Rs. 25,000 ATQ; {8x/(12 × 2000)} = (20000/25000) => 8x = 19200 So, x = 2400
