3:5, profit at the end of the year is Rs.100000 and A’s share in it is Rs.25000, then what is the ratio of A’s and B’s investment?
A5:12Correct AnswerIncorrect Answer
B5:16Correct AnswerIncorrect Answer
C5:9Correct AnswerIncorrect Answer
D5:8Correct AnswerIncorrect Answer
ENone of theseCorrect AnswerIncorrect Answer
Solution
Let the ratio of A’s and B’s investment be x:y. The ratio of time periods of investment of A, => [3x/(3x+5y)] x 100000 = 25000 => [3x/(3x+5y)] = 1/4 => 12x = 3x + 5y => 9x = 5y => x:y = 5:9
