ratio of 4:5, respectively. If 36 litres of the mixture is withdrawn and replaced with the same amount of juice, what will be the new ratio of juice to soda?Solution
ATQ,
Remaining quantity of the original mixture = 180 – 36 = 144 litres
Quantity of juice in final mixture = 144 × (4/9) + 36 = 64 + 36 = 100 litres
Quantity of soda in final mixture = 144 × (5/9) = 80 litres
Ratio of juice and soda in the final mixture = 100:80 = 5:4
