    Let the quantity of milk and water left in the jar be 5a litres and 2a litres, respectively According to the question, 5a – 2a = 57 => a = 19 Therefore, quantity of mixture left in the jar = 5a + 2a = 7a = 133 litres Therefore, quantity of mixture taken out = 180 – 133 = 47 litres => x = 47
