Let milk = 5x litres Water = 3x litres After 24 litres of milk is added: 5x + 24 = 2 × 3x 5x + 24 = 6x x = 24 Now: Milk = 5x = 120 litres Water = 3x + 12 = 72 + 12 = 84 litres Required percentage = (84 / 120) × 100 = 70%
