Quantity of water in the mixture = {(420 - 20)/2} = 200 litres
So, quantity of milk in the mixture = (420 - 200) = 220 litres
Total quantity of the mixture if quantity of milk in the mixture becomes 50% = 220 × (100/50) = 440
So, quantity of water needs to be mixed = (440 - 420) = 20 litres
