Let the income of ‘Amit’ be Rs. ‘x’ Therefore, income of ‘Bhuvan’ = Rs. (x – 12000) According to the question, (x – 12000) – 0.8 × 0.75x = 4800 Or, x = 16800/0.4 = 42000 Therefore, savings of ‘Amit’ = 0.25x = Rs.10500
