If the number of balls faced by Cheteshwar Pujara to

take 1’s is greater than that for 2’s, then he can score a maximum of how many runs?
A 41 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B 53 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C 57 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D 49 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
E None of these Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

    Runs by 4’s = 4 × 4 = 16 ……………(i)
Number of dot balls = 12
    So remaining balls = 41 – (4 + 12) = 25
So, to maximize his score in 25 balls, he can take 13 one’s and 12 two’s. …….…(ii)
    So a maximum of 16 + 13 × 1 + 12 × 2 = 53 runs
