Total weight of x persons = 65 × x = 65x kg Total weight of (x – 14) women = 64 × (x – 14) = 64x – 896 kg According to the question, 65x = 64x – 896 + 35x – 896 + 50x – 1400 65x = 149x – 3192 84x = 3192 x = 38
