A 10 years Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B 12 years Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C 14 years Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D 16 years Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
E None of these Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

      Solution

      Let the present age of X, Y and Z be β€˜x’, β€˜y’ and β€˜z’ years respectively. x – 6 = 1.4 Γ— x – 10 0.4 Γ— x = 4 x = 4/0.4 x = 10 years So, age of z = 10 Γ— 1.6 = 16 years Also, (y – 2)/(z + 4) = 1/2 y – 2 = (1/2) Γ— 20 y = 10 + 2 = 12 years
