    Let the present age of ‘Simran’ = ‘x’ years
    Present age of ‘Riya’ = ‘5x’ years
    ATQ;
    5x + 8 = 2 × (x + 8)
    Or, 5x + 8 = 2x + 16
    Or, 3x = 8
    Or, x = 8
    So, present age of ‘Riya’ = 5 × x = 5 × 8 = 40 years
