    sum of their ages after 8 years will be 68 years. If the age of Tanya is 3 years more than 4 times the difference between the ages of Riya and Meera, then find the age of Tanya.

    ATQ,

    Let the present age of Riya and Meera be 5x years and 4x years respectively. Difference of ages of Riya and Meera = 5x – 4x = x years According to the question, 5x + 8 + 4x + 8 = 68 Or, 9x = 68 – 16 Or, x = 52 ÷ 9 = 4 Therefore, age of Tanya = 4x + 3 = 4×4 + 3 = 19 years
