    while the ratio of present ages of Vikram to that of Akash is 5:8. If the age of Vikram, 3 years ago from now was 27 years, then find the sum of present ages of Sneha and Akash.

    ATQ,

    Let the present age of Sneha and Akash be '6x' years and '8x' years, respectively.

    So, present age of Vikram = 5/8 × 8x = 5x years

    Vikram's present age = (27 + 3) = 30 years.

    So, 5x = 30

    Or, x = 6

    Required sum = (6x + 8x) = (14x) = (14 × 6) = 84 years
