Solution
Let the present age of A and B be 3x and 5x respectively. According to question, => 5(3x – 15) = (5x – 15) => 15x – 75 = 5x – 15 => 10x = 60 => x = 6 Present age of A = 3x = 18 yrs And present age of B = 5x = 30 yrs The sum of their present ages = 18 + 30 = 48 years
