    Let the present age of boy be ‘x’ years. 120% of age of boy 7 years before = 80% of age of boy after 10 years = > (120/100)×(x - 7) = (80/100)×(x + 10) = > 120(x - 7) = 80(x + 10) = > 120x - 840 = 80x + 800 = > 120x - 80x = 800 + 840 = > 40x = 1640 = > x = 41 yrs
